Citywide Funk, based in Houston, TX is focused on making a difference in peoples’ lives through music. Our collective group of talented musicians have been playing together for years, and with various venues throughout the State of Texas. Our extensive list of music is bound to touch the heart of any generation, taking you back ..... Whether playing for nightclubs, private corporate events, wedding receptions, or special venues; …. It’s about the simple fact that we understand it’s all about memories…it’s about you and your guests! It’s about making sure you and every guest at your event, no matter how large or small, leave saying, “That’s the most fun I’ve had in years!”
Don started singing with his mother Virgie Lott at True light Missionary Baptist Church; downtown Houston under Reverend EL Lott (father). Don started his music career playing in Highschool for Worthing Highschool Stage Band. From there, he pursued clubs, private parties and churches and is currently the owner/lead guitar/vocalist for Citywide Funk which caters to all types of music venues.
Don opened for the Eisley Brothers in 2002 at the Arena Theater; Frankie Beverly and Maze at Tinsley Park Downtown, Houston and for Bob Marley and the Whalers in 2002 at the Music Hall. Don was also the Lead Guitarist at Windsor Village United Methodist Church for 13 years under Kathy Taylor Brown, Darrell Johnson and Leon Lewis, Sienna Ranch Baptist Church under music director Oliver Scott and South Park Baptist Church since 2019.
Don plays at corporate functions as lead guitarist for Password, Dominique Hammons -National Recording Violinist, Fidelity Maxx, Clockwork, Such & Such, Tracy Perez Band and and many more. Don specializes in Pop, R & B, Funk, Dance Music and Contemporary Jazz and plays a variety of music that appeals to all generations. Don attended TSU where he received a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Electromechanical Technology. He also SMU where he majored in electronics and graduated MS Certified. Don is married and lives in Spring, TX. His passion is sharing his music and exciting crowds across the generations with some of the best musicians and vocalists that Houston has to offer .

Terence Fisher Bio Born in Dallas, Texas but raised in Louisiana by a mother and father who loved music, Terence began to develop an interest in music at the age of 12. Terence was exposed to several different forms of music including Jazz, Rap, Gospel, Rock, Funk and Country. At 18, he began to work professionally with local jazz and gospel groups including that of Dorsey Summerfield & the Polyphonics. He soon decided to form his own Band, Level G. It was not long before he was regularly playing for concerts, studio sessions, tours and performed with artists such as Greg O’quin, John P. Kee, Henry Johnson, Vickie Baker, The Platters, The Coasters, The Drifters, The Marvelettes, Kim Waters and Sounds of Blackness. In 2005, Terence moved to Houston, Texas where he began serving as Music Director at a local church, directing multiple choirs and musicians and working with local talent. In this new location he was able to display his spectacular talent and innovative use of combining classical, expressive piano playing with Jazz and R & B which brought him worldwide recognition. As a solo artist, Terence has recorded and produced many local and national talents as well as his own music. Terence is very involved with the teaching aspect, conducting many camps, clinics and workshops throughout the U.S. His goal is to inspire as many people as possible through the music and the arts.
Grammy nominated, musician/vocalist extraordinaire; widely recognized for his creativity, versatility and authenticity, Catrell is in high demand for his energetic innovative style of playing.
Catrell has mastered a variety of musical genres. He has performed extensively with a variety of artists. From jazz, gospel, latin legends and modern funk. Catrell has worked with the best: Latin artist such as Eddie Palmieri, Bobby Valentin, Johnny Pacheco, Pete Escovedo, Dave Valentin, Larry Harlow, Poncho Sanchez, Nestor Torres, Michael Stuart, Brenda K Starr,
Gospel artist such as Jabari Johnson, Kurt Carr, Joe Ligon just to name a few. Catrell also sings with stellar nominated gospel group “Endurance”. Catrell now performs locally with the hottest sounds in the city in addition to that, he’s a minister and widely known for his vocal expertise. Catrell resides in Houston, Tx where he and his wife own a hair salon “Nzuri Gray” . His passion is to lead others to Christ through his musical capabilities and experiences for the betterment of the world.
